4 Scots And Highlanders hackle

The Highlander Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland is part of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. This is a different shape from the other hackles and requires more work to complete.
The  regiment was formed in 1994 by merging The  Queen's Own Highlanders and the Gordon Highlanders. In 2004 The Highlanders was amalgamated with the other Scottish infantry regiments to form the  Royal Regiment of Scotland.. As with the other Scottish regiments, the Highlanders were  permitted to keep some identity with the battalion number 3 and a blue hackle. Now a small dark blue hackle. The battalion was based in Germany, as part of 7 Armored Brigade,( Desert Rats,) and moved in September 2015 to   Barracks in Catterick. The battalion is now part of 20th Armored Infantry Brigade

This is the old style 4th Scots hackle but still used by some associations such as the Queens Own Highlanders. Made to order or call for stock levels.
