Royal Scots Borderer's (1 SCOTS): Black small black hackle Royal Highland Fusiliers (2 SCOTS): White now a small fan shaped hackle Black Watch (3 SCOTS): small red hackle The Highlanders (4 SCOTS) small blue hackle Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders (5 SCOTS) now only about 100 left in this battalion. Small green hackle 52nd Lowland Volunteers (6 SCOTS): small fan shaped Grey hackle. 51st Highland Volunteers (7 SCOTS) small fan shape purple hackle. Royal Regiment of Scotland band does but the Territorial army band wears a red hackle on the Tam of Shanter Royal Regiment of Scotland Hackles and Plumes. Following the amalgamation of Scottish regiments to form The Royal Regiment of Scotland on 28 March 2006, Regiments have there own hackle but there is talk that this will be done away with soon.
